Daniel L. Freidlin joined Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP in 2002 and became Partner in 2010. Mr. Freidlin’s practice encompasses all areas of medical malpractice and professional liability defense. He has also handled matters involving general liability, professional liability, insurance law and electronic discovery. Mr. Freidlin defended major medical centers in mass tort litigation, including in the the areas of hepatitis C/HIV transmission, neurosurgery, and alleged fraudulent billing.
Mr. Freidlin’s practice includes the defense of health care professionals and hospitals in medical malpractice actions from inception through trial. He received his J.D., with distinction, in 2002 from Hofstra University and his B.A. in Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 1997 from St. John’s University. At Hofstra, he served as Research Editor for the Hofstra Law Review. Mr. Freidlin's legal experience is complimented by his experience as a pharmacist prior to joining MCB.
He is admitted to practice before New York state courts, and the United States District Court for the Southern & Eastern Districts of New York.
Mr. Friedlin serves as the Chair of the Publications Committee and member of the firm’s Marketing Committee. He has published in MD News, PIAA, as well as the Firm’s newsletter, Defense Practice Update. He has presented in radiology malpractice programs for Lawline.com.
Mr. Freidlin a member of the Association for Healthcare Risk Management of New York (AHRMNY). He is AV® rated by Martindale-Hubbell®.*
