2/1/19: Executive or Administrative Assistant - New York City Office
This position is responsible for enhancing the daily effectiveness of three (3) litigation attorneys by preparing legal documentation, transcribing tapes, formatting, proofreading, entering monthly billing information, faxing, scanning, processing expense reports and transmitting encrypted client emails.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for input of correspondence, memoranda, legal documents, and forms using MS Word

Input data in Excel spreadsheets
-
Screen phone calls, accurately recording and relaying messages to their assigned attorneys
-
Read, sort and prioritize incoming mail, ensure that outgoing mail is handled promptly

Establish and maintain calendar and deadline reminder system
-
Observe confidentiality of client matters
-
Profile all scanned documents into FileSite on a daily basis
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
-
Prior office/administrative experience in a med mal defense, plaintiff, or insurance defense firm
-
Flexible for overtime as needed
-
Knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, TOC/TOA format
-
Proofread documents for grammatical, typographical and spelling errors before giving them to their assigned attorneys
-
Good interpersonal skills and strong command of the English language in order to communicate and follow instructions effectively

Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree
2/1/19: Paralegal - Long Island Office
Responsibilities:
-
Responsible for legal research, gathering and retrieving information; organizing and analyzing legal documents, collecting, compiling and utilizing technical information to assist the attorney(s) during trials, EBTs, and various client meetings.

Identifying experts, expert transcripts, and expert workups
-
speaking to vendors for orders/materials relating to trial prep (Verdict Search, Idex, Legal Xray)
-
Organizing and preparing expert materials for review (either hard copies or disks)
-
communicating with Rish Management regarding status of requested records/films
-
Observe confidentiality of client matters; knowledge of HIPPA regulations and requirements; redacting)

Preparation of records for discovery responses to plaintiffs and co-defendants
