
Jeff Lawton, a senior partner and trial attorney, joined the Firm in 1983 and became a partner in 1991. Mr. Lawton handles a wide variety of the Firm’s medical and health care clients. He has been trying cases with multimillion dollar exposure for many years. Mr. Lawton has represented physicians and teaching hospitals in high profile cases including Stone v. Toth, a case featured on Court TV, and has extensive experience cross-examining medical experts before the New York Supreme Court. Mr. Lawton is a frequent lecturer at major teaching hospitals on issues involving medical malpractice to physicians and risk management issues for nurses and residents. Mr. Lawton also administers the Firm’s continuing legal education program. He is AV® rated by Martindale-Hubbell® which is their highest rating.*
