Rosaleen McCrory is a Senior Partner and trial attorney at Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP. Ms. McCrory's practice encompasses all aspects of medical malpractice litigation including the defense of physicians and medical centers in medical, psychiatric, dental and podiatric malpractice actions.  Ms. McCrory has also worked extensively in the areas of complex mass tort litigation involving asbestos litigation, Hepatitis C/HIV exposure, and fraud & false advertising claims.

 

Ms. McCrory is a member of the Firm’s Nursing Home Practice Group and has extensive experience representing nursing homes, adult care facilities, assisted living residences and long-term care facilities.

 

Ms. McCrory has also represented physicians in disciplinary matters before the New York State Department of Health, including its Offices of Professional Medical Conduct.  During the course of her career, Ms. McCrory was involved in the trial of Libby Zion v. NYH which involved the defense of claims for punitive damages against an academic medical center and residents accused of system wide supervision failures, sleep deprivation and medical education failures.

 

Ms. McCrory is the Senior Partner in full time residence in the Firm's Long Island office. She is admitted to practice in New York state courts and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of New York.  Ms. McCrory earned her undergraduate degree in 1985 and her J.D. from Villanova University in 1988.  She is AV® rated by Martindale-Hubbell® which is their highest rating.*

 

Ms. McCrory has published articles in MD News and has co-authored a chapter in the Legal Manual for New York Physicians. Ms. McCrory has been a speaker in grand rounds to physicians, risk managers and hospital administration and lectures to attorneys and clients in the Firm’s Continuing Legal Education seminars.
